Members of our Leadership Team recently volunteered aboard the historic Battleship New Jersey as part of the CCSNJ Day of Service. The team spent the morning chipping rust, clearing debris from the helicopter landing pad, power washing the deck, and assisting with painting projects to help prepare the ship for an exciting upcoming event. It was a rewarding opportunity to give back to such an important piece of our region’s history while working alongside other volunteers to make a meaningful impact. As an added bonus, the team received a behind-the-scenes tour of the ship, including access to a newly opened area with incredible views of the Philadelphia skyline and the bridge into New Jersey. Experiences like these remind us how important it is to serve our communities and we left with our cups full.
